Our commitment
We never sell your data. We never share your data for advertising, marketing, or third-party analytics. We don't use retargeting pixels, data brokers, or behavioral ad networks.
The only third parties who touch your data are the service providers we need to run the site — listed below with the specific reason we use them. They process data on our behalf, under contract, and have no independent right to use it for their own purposes.
What we don't do
- ✗Sell your personal data to anyone.
- ✗Share your data with advertising networks or marketing partners.
- ✗Load retargeting pixels (Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Ads conversion, etc.).
- ✗Send your data to data brokers or behavioral profiling services.
- ✗Use your data to train AI models outside the Sentinel feature you opt into.
What we collect
Account info: the email and shipping addresses you provide when you create an account or place an order.
Order data: what you bought, when, and where it shipped. Processed through Shopify.
Site analytics: anonymous page-view counts (Google Analytics 4) and session recordings (Microsoft Clarity) — only when you click Accept on the cookie banner. Both are off by default.
Sentinel telemetry: hardware sensor data from PCs running the optional Sentinel agent. Opt-in per machine. We use it to deliver the AI tuning recommendations the agent provides; we don't use it for advertising or any other purpose.
Service providers we use
Each of these is a processor — they handle your data on our behalf and only for the purpose listed. The canonical list is maintained in docs/PROCESSORS.md in our source code, with a CI guard that prevents new third parties from being added without an explicit policy update.
| Service | Purpose | Data sent | Policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shopify | Storefront, checkout, customer accounts, product catalog | Order details, shipping addresses, email, payment info (via Shopify; we never see card numbers) | shopify.com |
| Supabase | Database for customer accounts, configurator state, Sentinel telemetry, admin audit log | Account email, saved PC configurations, Sentinel machine telemetry (opt-in) | supabase.com |
| Sentry | Error tracking and crash reports | Browser type, URL, error stack traces. Not your account email by default. | sentry.io |
| Google Analytics 4 | Aggregate site traffic analytics. Loaded only with explicit consent. | Anonymous page-view events. With Consent Mode v2 default denied, no identifiers. | google.com |
| Microsoft Clarity | Session replay + heatmaps for UX understanding. Loaded only with consent. | Page interactions. No PII; Clarity masks sensitive fields by default. | clarity.ms |
| Anthropic | Powers the Sentinel AI feature — analyzes hardware telemetry to recommend tuning | Component fingerprints and telemetry summaries. No customer identifiers. | anthropic.com |
| Tavily | Web search grounding for Sentinel hardware research | Hardware part numbers and model strings. No customer data. | tavily.com |
| Wasabi | Diagnostic bundle storage (when customers run the diagnostic tool) | Diagnostic bundle contents (hardware enumeration, dxdiag, etc.) | wasabi.com |
Cookies
We use a single first-party cookie, splave_cc, to remember whether you've granted or declined consent for site analytics. The cookie holds one of three values: granted, denied, or absent (you haven't chosen yet).
If you decline (or never accept), no analytics cookies are set and Microsoft Clarity is never loaded. Google Analytics still loads but in Consent Mode v2 denied state — it sends anonymous modeled pings only, never any identifying information.
Manage your cookie preferences
Change your cookie consent for analytics and session-replay tracking. Clicking the button below clears your stored choice and re-opens the consent banner.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal (Brave, DuckDuckGo, Firefox with strict privacy settings, or a GPC browser extension), we automatically treat you as having declined cookie consent. You won't see the banner, and no analytics will load. You can still override this for the current session by using the Manage cookie preferences button above.
Your rights
You can request access to, export of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us. We'll respond within 30 days.
For orders, your account dashboard shows the order history Shopify holds on your behalf. For Sentinel, the desktop agent provides an uninstall path that deletes the machine's telemetry record from our database.
